What is Korean Big List?

Korean Big List is a place to find Korean friends and penpals etc...

Korean Big List was started in 2003. I often upgrade the site and recently I added forums, answers, blogs and photos. This upgrade means that Korean Big List is more than just penpals .. we are slowly becoming a guide to Korean. Please help out and post some content!

At last check this site had about 5,000 members but it is growing fast.

I recently added the ability to report spam for profile, photos, posts, message etc.. If you see spam please report it.


Is Korean Big List free?

Yes. There are NO fees for anything on Korean Big List.

How do I use Korean Big List?

1. Sign up. We recommend using a anonymous email such as gmail.

2. You will receive a email from us. You need to click on the link in this email. This proves that the email belongs to you.

3. Now you can sign on to the site and create a profile and send messages to other members.

4. If you want to make your profile popular add lots of photos and actively post in the Korean forums.

5. When you get a message from other members we will email you. Be sure to tell your anti spam to accept emails from this site! We will never send you spam.

I can't create a profile on your site. Why?

In order to create a profile, you need to:
a) Register (if you are new)
b) Sign On(if you have already registered)


If I post my profile on your site, will people see my email address?

No, your email address will remain hidden. Your address can only be seen if you include it in your message (not recommended).

Will you sell my email address to third parties or send me unwanted emails?

No, we will keep your email private and will not send you any unwanted emails. In general, you will be contacted by us:

1. If you contact us.
2. When someone sends you a message.
3. To send you registration information.

Why has no one replied to me?

This is a very popular service and most people should get lots of messages. If you want to get more messages, look out for:

Picture profiles are most popular and displayed first in searches. Consider adding a picture to your profile.

When you post photos, questions, in the forums or blogs there is a link back to your profile. This makes your profile more popular. The more information you post the more people you will meet. But make sure everything you post is related to Koreanity.

Also, make sure to tell your spam filters that emails from us are not spam!


I have forgotten my password. How can I get a new one?

1. Go to the recover password page.
2. Enter your email and submit.
3. Your password will be mailed to you.
Make sure it is the same email you signed up with! If all else fails you can always sign up again using a different email address.


I have received an unsuitable message, what should I do?

Do not reply to the person - just ignore them.

Remember that they have not seen your email address. If you continue to receive unsuitable email, we would advise you to login and remove your profile, and this will immediately stop any emails being sent to you.

If you have replied to the person and they know your email address you should add them to your blocked addresses or spam filter. Or just simply ignore them.

Remember that under no circumstances should you disclose personal information about yourself to anyone you meet through this service. Read our terms of service before using this site.


How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account using the delete account page of this website.

Do not email us requesting your account to be deleted. We do not delete accounts in this way.

Once you have deleted your account you can not sign up with the same email address again. If you would like to sign up in the future you need to use a new email account.

I am having trouble registering, what should I do?

The steps to register are:

1. Fill out the registration form.
2. Check your email. We will send you a confirmation email.
3. Take the link in the email to activate your account.
4. We will send you a welcome email. Now you can logon, create a profile and send messages to members.

If you do not receive the confirmation email:

1. Check your spam filter. You need to tell your spam filter to accept email from this site. Your confirmation email may have ended up in a bulk email folder.
2. You can resend the email.
3. You may have mistyped your email address. Try filling out the registration form again.
4. Tryed everything but nothing works? You may need to sign up using a different email. We recommend signing up for a free yahoo account and telling the spam filter to accept emails from this site.


If you received the confirmation email but the link does not work:

Use our manual confirmation page and cut and paste the email and confirmationId that we sent you.   back
